Robert Nathan Allen (or RNA as he’s called) has been active in the Austin food and tech entrepreneurial community since 2013. After working in the insect agriculture space starting a nonprofit, a for-profit and a trade association, he became fascinated with wasted food, food recovery, circular economies and blockchain uses for supply chains. He now co-organizes the Austin Food and Tech Meetup and runs business development for Austin’s original culinary incubator, The Cook’s Nook, where he helps food entrepreneurs find resources, funding and refine their go-to-market strategy. He regularly consults with companies and organizations interested in reducing food waste and implementing alternative agricultural models, and is an industry expert for a variety of publications and media outlets, including NPR, Reuters, the Associated Press, National Geographic, the Washington Post, Pacific Standard, Newsweek, Popular Science, Entrepreneur, Buzzfeed and more.
