Karen Kilroy

Karen Kilroy is a life-long technologist with heart. As CEO of Kilroy Blockchain, she has invented several products including Kilroy Blockchain Platform as a Service (PaaS), Riley, and Carnak. Karen’s background includes many years of working as an open source software engineer, which has prepared her for the new world of cognitive intelligence and immutable ledgers. Based in Austin, Texas, Karen is also Associate Director of the Austin Blockchain Collective.

Karen is also a professional dragon boat coach, and volunteers to coach the team from the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI). Kilroy Blockchain won the IBM Watson Build Challenge for North America in 2017 for their visual recognition app, Riley, which was inspired by the TSBVI team.
