Fabiola is a Swedish Austin-based interaction designer and qualitative researcher. She is also a bodyhacker and transmedia artist on a quest to explore our relationship to technology and thereby better our health. Her creative practice is led by an intent to explore forgotten or hidden truths about the human condition through conceptual forms of inquiry and design thinking/making.
Her critical designs often question consciousness or otherwise radical ideas, but she is able to ground them in reality for effective solutions through her background in Madison Avenue as an account planner, and having spent time in Silicon Valley watching over a thousand pitch decks.
Her daytime jobs have allowed her to spend the past five years knee-deep in the heart of the broken healthcare system – helping big pharma companies take one step away from the pill and offer more holistic healthcare solutions through digital platforms and service design. She truly believes that technology needs to be in service of design, and can help the greater good.
