2019 Radical Innovation Pitches Competition

Future Frontiers is seeking projects looking for support that would radically contribute to human flourishing. These can span the spectrum of our 2019 themes.

We welcome pitches at any stage.

Pitch Criteria

Future Frontiers knows that the future is never created in the mainstream. Often the breakthrough innovations are difficult to understand or notice. These innovators often work in the “blind spots” of creativity. Pitches will be made at 3:15 - 4:15PM on Saturday, June 8th. Here are the criteria for accepted projects:

  1. Does it fall within our 2019 themes?
    See themes below.
  2. Is it practical?
    Does this project have an achievable, or foreseeably achievable execution plan?
  3. Is it radical?
    Does this idea dramatically shake up the status quo?
  4. Does it “Criticize by Creating”?
    Are you seeking to make an old paradigm or institution obsolete through your innovation?
  5. Does it “maximize Human Flourishing”?
    Innovation for the sake of innovation is useless. Does this project clearly contribute to human wellbeing?

We will choose 3 select projects to pitch on June 8th. The winner will be featured in a Future Frontiers Radical Innovation Winner video that will be produced during the event and distributed within 3 weeks following the event.

Details:

  • Chosen projects must be available at a TBD time on June 8th to participate in a 5 minute pitch.
  • After the 5 minute pitch, judges will stress test your project for 10 minutes with a live Q&A.
  • Chosen projects are required to pay a $195 pitch fee to participate, which also provides you with a Full Pass to attend Future Frontiers.
